Absolute Freedom Of New Media Would Bring Harm To Social Harmony

 Cyberspace is being regarded as a new journalism media. As Internet spreads rapidly all over the world, most procedure of making news article is proceeding via Internet; collecting information and evidence, interviewing, editing, publishing, and even exchanging public issue. In other words, we arrive at Online-Journalism period. However despite its advantages such a cost and can save time online journalism still can be regarded as the new media that must be controlled as it somehow had the possibility to bring harm to social harmony especially in country such as Malaysia

Malaysia is a multiracial country that consist the Malay, Chinese and Indian plus some other minor ethnic. The bond between these ethnic had been built since 1957 where we first claimed our independent country status from the British. Since then, we live in peace and harmony in here despite I can deny the fact that there are still amount of ungrateful individuals try to corrupt the mind of citizen in Malaysia by trying to corrupt the public mind and which eventually can lead to chaos and destruction to the peace and harmony of this country.

The absolute freedom of the new media is one of the factor which one of the channel that can be viewed as the platform for the irresponsible authorities to create and spread stories that will manipulate people cognitive and behavioral to actually believe the content of the stories without thinking the main purpose of the individual doing so. For example there is online journalism site can try to convince the public that the dead of A.Kugan a car thief in police custody is because of the beaten by the Malay police officers. However after investigation being made and the truth revealed that there was also Indian police officer involved during investigation A.Kugan plus his death was not because of being beaten by the police, the site and authorities hold their tongue and remain silence regarding to the stories.

 This proven that the new media tried to corrupt and manipulate the public peace and harmony by exaggerate and spice up the ethnic aspect towards the case. From this situation, I can conclude that if such matter kept occurring in the future, the peace and harmony of this nation would certainly be in jeopardy and 13 May 1969 tragedy might be repeated and collapsed the rapid movement towards becoming develop country through our vision 2020. 

I cannot deny the fact that freedom is something we need in our life as but such freedom which eventually can lead to riot and chaos must be controlled. What the mean of freedom it’s if it will disturb the peace and harmony that had been built long time ago. 

Adolf Hitler once said ‘’ Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it’’, well it is true. The irresponsible authorities somehow managed to manipulate people point of view through their stories. False stories about the government and surrounding will surely affect our peace and harmony. New Media is a medium for human to seek information easier and faster and it is our duty to choose what to believe or not. As human that were given brain to think, we should know better the intention of stories besides information given when we read it. So why believe in fake and false stories if it meant to disrupt the social harmony, we have to see it with our own eyes in order to believe.

Regarding to Kugan’s case, off thousands people that have been in police custody did not died and why must he’s the one that died in police custody just because of car stealing, how ironic and weird. Plus why after the truth revealed that there was also an Indian officer involve in Kugan investigation the so called online journalism people stop updating their stories. Let us be rational and think positive about their intention and put emotions aside. Assalamualaikum.

WORLD WITHOUT BOUNDARIES…

I was called to give my point of view regarding to an article which retrieved from Muslim Melinia titled ''Freedom of News And Cyber Information : A Paradox’’ which basically emphasized on the bad effect of the internet towards the Malaysian harmony. After spending time reading it over and over again, I managed to understand the main message of this article and without any doubts I am totally agreed and satisfied with the content of the article.

The freedom of the internet can lead to major catastrophe in term of social behavior and also political perspective. For example right after the Multimedia and Communication Act 1998 being implement tons of bad named being appointed to Tun Dr Mahathir during his reign as the Prime Minister due to the conflict with Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim which proven that nobody has the immunity when it comes to the power of the internet. Let us not forget the power of this free flow information also is the reason for the fallen of Suharto the President of Indonesia then followed by the Estrada in Philippine. Perhaps one day Malaysia will face the same problem because of the power of internet in manipulating people through communication. So much for the freedom I guess..

Malaysia is a multi ethnic country with three major ethnics which include the Malay, Chinese and Indian that had been living together in this bless by God soil for more than half a century. Together they fight for independent and had live in peace and harmony. However day by day I can see that only the history remains in mind but not in heart and souls within the citizens. The internet had poisoned the mind through various ways such a blog, social website and many other channels. For example there are blogs that condemned other people by appointing certain targeted individuals with bad and unethical words. Is this what we called freedom?  Sometimes I wonder what is in their thought and are we trying to follow the American with their freedom of speech idea? One thing I can conclude that people of this country gained from the American is the rises of social problem within the community. For example the American first invade our people mind with clothing during the 70’s through entertainment but somehow as times went by they slowly managed to conquer the mind and now behavior of the Malaysian to act like them. We must keep in mind that Malaysia is a unique country with identity and culture which is different from the American that their identity faded long time ago.

As a multi ethnic nation we must not become enemies among us as we once fight for this beloved country. The Chinese cannot state that this country become so rich and prosperous because of them as if it is not because of them the Japanese would not even stepped and invade this country in the first place due to their hatred for the Chinese during those time, the Malay also must not told the Chinese to go back to China because they are not being irrational. This country does not work out that way. This issue became worst due to some stupid bloggers that wrote things with anger, passion but not brain and facts with the purpose of creating chaotic through stupid ideology. I wonder if these irresponsible individuals even felt what it was back in May 13 1969, all the suffering, the chaos, the innocent blood and almost destroyed the entire nation. 

I admit that we cannot run from being ethnocentrism same goes with the mainstream media but it somehow can be controlled and reduce if we think the positive consequences of doing so. Media is a power tool in shaping the people mind and thought and if the media manage to enhance the ‘’being more respect towards each other’’ values, this country can be more succeed. Crisis and conflict is just matters that can hinder the development of a nation. As human we will never satisfied with what we have and what the point if what we want only lead to chaos and destruction.  Follow the lust, hatred and we will lost everything, if the Chinese, Indian or even Malay vanquish from this soil will it settle everything and if our Prime Minister being overthrown by this free flow information so called freedom will it put an end to any political problem in the future and satisfy every single heart in this country?

Lets talk bout focus and why it's so important for us to overcome all the obstacles we face everyday.. Focus is the key to everything we do if we ever dream of achieving success in this life. Most of my life i failed to put 100percent focus in most of the things i have done and fail to achieve my targets which totally sucks..yawn.. Until one day..i reed bout the Sime Darby loss and its the situations are just the same as me.but what happen to me did not become headlines for newspaper and did not include other people except me..LOL ..as we all know Sime Darby is one of the GLC company in this country..GLC stands for Government -Linked Company A government-owned corporation, state-owned enterprise, state enterprise, government business enterprise, or parastatal is a legal entity created by a government commercial activities on behalf of an owner government to undertake commercial activities on behalf of an owner government of in a easier form to understand is they help the government to improve a country in many aspects which also include economic sector. But what happen to Sime Darby really shocked our nation. People started to give their own point of view everywhere and the capability of the company and government being questioned. The problem of this type of company is once they're established and become the top dog in the business they started to loss focus. As we all know this company are well known for their experience and expertise in estate and properties please correct me if i'am wrong but they started to take it easy and try others field which they did not even have any experience in it. Credit to them for the guts to try something new and try to make difference within the org. itself but it just won't work. Their billions of loss really put a question marks in everybody head . If they keep on their focus on what they've achieve in sure none of this would happen.Forget bout the  mega power supply project because it's not meant for u and focus on what u're more experts in. Same macam kiter..focus dlm setiap ape yg kiter buat and yg kiter ade.. nnt kalau dah hilang semuanya baru la merase kan.. 1 more thing..kalau ade kwn2 yg buat business kt luar tu..business is good and great focus on your business and jgn fikir rezeki dalam poket orang .Kalau dah mule fikir rezeki dalam poket orang mksdnye focus you'all memang dah lari and korang akan cube perkare-perkare yang bkn kepakaran korang nanti mula la jadi yang dikejar tak dapat yang dikendong berciciran . Orang kate cube la bende baru kalau tak bile nak maju..tapi kalau cube bende baru yg dah memang tahu takkan jadi ape nak buat ape betul tak?..And what happen to Sime Darby is just an example for us bout what will happen if we let go our focus on important things  . I hope GLC company can play a better role to help this country in achieving other great success and become one of the major component towards our step in becoming the develop country by the year 2020 .
